Today’s Sermon: Living in Faith, Hope and Love

Today’s sermon, based on 1 Thessalonians 5,  focused on the importance of how we should live as a Christ-centered community.  St. Paul tells us not to be concerned about matters beyond our control, such as times, seasons and divinely-appointed events, but to center our energies on faith, hope and love.  We can’t fix the world, so to speak, but our act of obedience is to trust that Christ will eventually put everything to its rights.  That particular hope motivates us to live our lives with love as our highest goal, knowing that everything done in love is never in vain.
