Read the Entire Bible in the Year 2009
How would you like to read the Bible all the way through in 2009? Here’s a convenient way for you to accomplish it. This blog site (entirebibleinayear.wordpress.com/) divides the English Standard Version of the Bible into 365 segments so that you can read the entire Bible in one year. The blogger has omitted chapter and verse numbers so that you can better focus on the text. You’ll find that it takes only a few minutes each day to read through the Bible. You won’t regret doing it!

Special Notice About Severe Winter Weather
We rarely cancel services due to weather, but we also want to encourage everyone to use their best judgment about coming to service when driving conditions are severe. Furthermore, when snowfall is heavy, it may be difficult to park on the street. Those who are able to arrive safely will certainly pray for all those unable to make it. You will be as much a part of the service as if you were physically present!

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service
We invite everyone to join us for our candlelight observance of Christ’s birth on Christmas Eve at 7 pm.
The service of lessons and carols will feature music by the Ward Hill Church Choir, the Ward Hill Church Children’s Choir and Christ the King Brass.
And just in case you are not in a hurry to get home, you are also invited to join us for a special Christmas reception in the vestry at 8 pm.

Christmas Caroling and Birthday Party for Jesus
On Saturday evening, Dec. 20, starting at 5:30 pm, we will be caroling in the Ward Hill neighborhood. After caroling we’ll enjoy some hot chocolate, tacos and a birthday cake for Jesus. Come and join us for this fun-filled Christmas event!

Missionary Air Group and Mercy Flyers – A Great Team!
Rev. Sean Donnelly of Missionary Air Group (MAG) and Dr. Craig Oranmore-Brown of Mercy Flyers, a parter of MAG, gave us a most wonderful presentation this past Wednesday evening. We were inspired by the work MAG continues to do in Central America. Now MAG is also assisting Mercy Flyers, a Christian medical charity run by Drs. Craig and Rae Oranmore-Brown that serves the needy in the most remote regions of Zambia, southern Africa.

Advent is Here!
Come join us for our Advent services: Advent I, Nov. 30; Advent II, Dec. 7; Advent III, Dec. 14; Advent IV, Dec. 21. We will be lighting the Advent wreath each Sunday as await the celebration of our Lord’s coming into human flesh at Bethlehem.
